Confirmation

St Theresa Parish in the Diocese of San Bernardino offers the Sacrament of Confirmation in a two-year formation program for baptized Catholic youth from October through May. The program typically beginning in the 9th grade, with the goal of leading them to a more intimate union with Christ and strengthening their baptismal grace. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age by April 1st of the year they are confirmed. The sacrament is administered by a bishop, though a priest may be delegated to do so.

Age Requirement:

Candidates must be at least 16 years old by April 1st of the year they are confirmed. 

Two-Year Program:

Confirmation preparation is a two-year process. 

Meeting days will be twice a month please refer to the calendar. Any missed classes will have to be made up to stay on track with the preparation requirements.

Sponsor Requirement:

One sponsor is required for Confirmation. The sponsor must be a fully initiated Catholic (Baptized, Confirmed, and received Eucharist), at least 18 years of age, and meet the requirements outlined in Canon 874 of the Code of Canon Law. Role of the Sponsor:

The sponsor should be someone the candidate looks up to, who is willing to guide and support them in their faith journey.
