Marriage
When love is more than a romance but is felt to be a desire for a lasting commitment for life, the Church welcomes those who wish to prepare their hearts for the day their lives will be united in the God's love.
How beautiful it is to make a gift of oneself for the betterment of the other...

My Fiance is the reason I know God loves me!
This is perhaps one of the most beautiful things that I ever heard a man say about marriage.
These words were spoken by the groom during a conversation at the first meeting for a marriage preparation. We touched on a lot of different subjects - the church, religion-in-general, God, love, relationships, fidelity and celibacy...
I like to ask these quite simple and yet genuine questions such as "Why do you want to get marriage in a Catholic Church?" and "How do you see your marriage in 25 years from now...?"
The answers were many... from "being together as friends" to "being with the kids opening Christmas presents on Christmas morning..."
And then he said: "My fiance is the reason I know God loves me..."
What he said about his wife and God in a single sentence struck me as a beautiful image of how God loves us through others, and how when loving eachother we image the Love of God...
This young man in his late twenties clearly saw that God loved him because of this wife, soon to be, that God placed in his life, and that God's love would come forth through this woman that was placed in his life.
The connection was concrete and immediate, and when I saw the love between this man and this woman, I glimpsed into the love which is God.
