St. Theresa Youth Ministry

 The  youth group is for all high school age teens that want to be involved in a ministry which is Christ centered, it is a place where teens can  share and discover their unique gifts with the larger community. 

All you need is to show up and check it out.
No need to register before, basic information will be taken when you come.

Who Is Our our Pastor?

Rev. John Kavcak, M.S.C.
This parish is staffed by 
The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (M.S.C.) 

He was born in Pennsylvania, on July 12, 1946, to John C. and Mary (Kereb) Kavcak. He graduated from Holy Family Parochial School, Nazareth, PA, in 1960. In the fall of that year, he entered Sacred Heart Mission Seminary in Geneva, IL, where Fr. John completed four years of secondary education and one year of college. In 1965-66, he attended De Paul University, Chicago, for a second year of college. He entered the novitiate in Youngstown, OH, in 1966, making his first profession of vows in 1967. He completed his college studies at Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, Center Valley, PA, and in 1969, continued his studies for the priesthood at Catholic Theological Union (CTU), Chicago, Il, making perpetual profession of vows in 1970. From CTU, he received the M.Div. degree.Fr. John was ordained a priest by Bp. Joseph McShea, D.D., in Nazareth, on June 9, 1973

​On July 1, 2013 he was appointed pastor of St. Theresa Parish in Palm Springs, CA​

St. Theresa is partnering up with Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. The goal is to collect 6,000 pair of new socks. The Mission currently houses over 150 men, women and children. We will be doing this event for the month of October. 
You can drop off the new socks
( adult & childrens sizes) at the  Parish Office.
